Our school building is 100 years old this year. To celebrate the centenary, we had a competition in the Juniors about the many blue plaques near our school.
A blue plaque is a permanent sign installed in a public place to commemorate a link between that location and a famous person or event.
There were some excellent entries, and the winner in each year group will receive a book of their choice. The entries were so good, we had to award more than one prize in some years.
